Founded in 1965
The Story Behind Erocon
Founded in 1965 by Mr. Herman Keller and later operated by his son Hans Keller,
draws on over 58 years of experience to provide the services and skills for the complete and permanent reclamation and rehabilitation of land disturbed by mining and industrial processes.
Jim Mitchell continued the legacy in 2017, which Dwight Chorney joined in 2019. Together, they have carried on the tradition and passion of the Keller Family, ensuring that their clients continue to experience the same level of expertise and quality service.

Dwight Chorney
President
Dwight started his career over 40 years ago with
under the guidance of Hans Keller. After many years with
, he owned and operated his own successful landscaping, reclamation and revegetation company. Dwight has managed and completed countless large and small scale landscaping, revegetation and mining reclamation projects throughout Ontario and across Canada. Dwight also has experience in the industrial maintenance and solid waste management industries including the supervision and operation of municipal and industrial landfills, waste collection and recycling. Dwight is a Forestry Technician, Certified Manager of Landfill Operations and holds numerous health and safety related certificates. Dwight has rejoined the
team to help carry on the tradition of providing their clients with the expertise, dedication and quality of work

Ben Chorney
Project Manager
Ben Chorney joined
in March 2025, bringing a strong background in environmental science and compliance. A graduate of Canadore College’s Environmental Technician – Protection and Compliance and Environmental Technology programs, Ben has extensive experience in baseline studies, regulatory compliance, and environmental monitoring.
He has worked across Ontario and Nunavut, specializing in surface and groundwater sampling, hydrology monitoring, and environmental reporting, including ECAs and spill reports. Ben plays a key role in project coordination, field operations, and client relations, with experience across the mining, forestry, and power sectors. His technical expertise and commitment to environmental stewardship support
